I know there's a lot to update on... The girls and Judd's parents had an uneventful trip to Milwaukee. Unfortunately, once they were on the ground, it started snowing a ton, so it took an extra hour for them to get home. We had a wonderful week with Grammie and Ota here. We celebrated Christmas and New Year's. We also had lots of visiting time. Unfortunately, I had to work part of the week.
On Monday, Judd took everyone to the elementary school for some sledding. Sadly, he didn't get any pictures. Everyone took turns sledding, even Grammie and Ota. It was a lot of fun, but the day ended in the emergency room. Emily split her eyebrow open while riding down with Madison. They hit some ice at the bottom of the hill, and Madison landed on top of Emily. Em ended up with 5 stitches, one internal and 4 on the outside.
Let's see.... Wednesday, Mom K. and I went shopping. We bought some material for me to start making things for the baby. I can't wait to get started! Then one of my friends came over for a while and we played games. Around 11:30, we realized that we'd better open the champagne because we were all exhausted. I think we were awake until about 12:02.
Thursday we ended up babysitting for my friend at the last minute. I also spent part of the day making pork, saurkraut, and dumplings. Dinner turned out pretty yummy. After an early dinner, we went to see the Despereaux. It was a cute kids' movie.
On Friday, I was back at work. Grammie and Ota took the girls downtown on the bus to the Children's Museum. Judd stayed home to get some research down. Friday night, we went out to dinner with one of my clients from work. He is a legally blind gentleman with whom I work on the weekends in order to pick up some extra hours. We went to a traditional Madison Friday Fish Fry.
Saturday morning, bright and early, Judd drove his parents back to Milwaukee to catch their flight home. After he got home is when it happened....
We suddenly realized that the Eagles were playing the Vikings the next day, in Minnesota. So, we decided it would be fun to go to the game! So Judd got online and was able to get tickets! It's about a 5-hour drive each way. It turned out to be a very fun and exciting way to spend Emily's birthday!!
