I must say, I have a new hero. Yesterday after picking the girls up from school, I had the worst asthma attack of my life. My hands turned blue. I couldn't take a deep enough breath to be able to use my inhaler. Judd was at school. I was too dizzy to be able to drive to the ER, even though it is only right down the road. And I could not talk to be able to call for help.
So Madison called 911 and told the dispatcher that I needed help. I was aware of her being on the phone and what she was doing. She was very calm and collected while talking. Emily went out front to meet the ambulance. Both girls did an AMAZING job. And neither of them broke down until after they knew I was safe.
Thank you, Madison. I am really proud of you.
Judd arrived shortly after the ambulance and said that my face was still blue, even then. The paramedics were able to get my oxygen level back up. Since Judd was home, I opted not to go to the hospital. If I had any further trouble, I knew he would be able to get me there. It took a couple of hours and several more uses of my inhaler until I was able to breathe normally again. But by today, I was ok and able to go to work.
